CIP->YASD: Unarmed DsGl of Okawaru with [+20 rPois +Inv] CPA

Ended up dying to a random pan lord that wouldn't duel me and a tormenter that was literally impossible to hit with my silver javelins. Those bastards.
So, umm, yeah. I feel pretty strong right now but late game is still tearing into me quite a bit as I train to cast necromutation.
Found my uber armor of major kickassery behind a runed door in swamp- takes a ring with +str on it to wear but once I put it on nothing but crypt and hell have posed much of a threat so far. Including Zot and Slime.
A few immolation scrolls for slime didn't hurt either. Didn't hurt me anyways.
I meleed the 27 headed hydra to death and had hp to spare to safely take out a couple of his friends before retreating... lmao.
Bai-shuzan didn't like me either, but did get my HP low enough to worry me a bit- wouldn't have been an issue if I'd have quaffed a potion of flying..
Got a really nice set of mutations. Thematic even. Robust killing machine covered in spines and sharp scales, with toxic blood and a sharp, toxic stinger. Not perfect but carried the early game well for me. Robust and sharp scales are still very nice to have and spines do seem to work even in CPA so they aren't terrible to have.
Orbs of fire got me pretty badly but I had like 8 potions of mutation, so I ended up with some extra auxilury attacks. Would mutation roullete more if it wasn't so perfectly thematic already, making me monsterous without even costing any extra armor slots.
Cleared part of cocytus but the drain was killing me (over half my health drained) with only rN+ though I really, really wanted to duel anteus... hehe.
I'm kind of at an impass here deciding which direction to go with this character;
I think switching from okawaru might be a good idea, maybe to makhleb or kiku for the torment resistance, or perhaps uskayaw, anyone have any suggestions? (I really can't decide rn x_x)
Also any tips on spells to learn and skills to train would be very welcome.
I'm so rusty rn and have been on a massive losing streak so please help me keep poor kenny alive this time around.

++ Went to gahhena, got back down to 169HP from draining even with rN++... Ouch. Went to tomb:1 to get it back... Stat drain though. Ouch. Kiku is looking better and better by the second lmao.
++ Stepped back into gehenna:5, came close to death. Still alive though. Really need an extra pip of rF+ and torment immuunity. Scary stuff.
++ Got my duel with anteus with wereblood slaying, hasted, finessed and heroed out, he didn't stand a chance. -- Also killed the serpent of hell. They were easy. Ice fiends and wellsprings, draining and stat loss were NOT. Almost died a lot. Scary, scary stuff....... Int is down to 9 from 22 now but strength and health are back up.. Currently pumping exp into skills to get necromutation castable, but it's still got a ways to go especially with this stat loss.
