Recently I decided to make 21 similar characters, play each one to XL2 in turn, then go back to the beginning and play each one to XL3, and so on and so forth. The "last man standing" from that process is Lemonade Fox Twelve:

I'd basically like to know if there's anything badly wrong with my long term strategy that's going to screw me over later. At the moment, my main goal is getting Haste online. I'm planning on skipping Elf, because my resistances aren't very good, and going straight to Vault instead.

Still going really strong. Decided to upgrade to a medium shield. Ended up clearing out lower D before attempting Vaults, probably because last time I stepped into Vaults I got destroyed pretty fast so I was intimidated. Turns out that wasn't the greatest idea because Vaults isn't so bad thus far.

Rest of Vaults went okayish, there were a couple of nasty uniques on V:8 that my demons couldn't kill, so I lured Mennas to V:7 so I could explore in peace and just kinda ran away from Boris, but got the 3rd rune just fine. After that I decided to do Crypt, before going back and cleaning up Elf which was no problem by this point.

Given what I've read about the endgame, I didn't feel strong enough to attempt it yet, so I decided to do Abyss. I got the rune there too, but unfortunately got mutated pretty badly in the process. Neqoxecs are my new 2nd least favourite monster, behind orc priests which are never not going to be the worst.

Hoping to figure out a solution to the mutation problem, after that I'll have a shot at the endgame. I'm kinda making it up as I go at this point, no idea what good strategy is supposed to look like this far in, never gotten anywhere near this far before.
