CIP: VSSu^Ash now Yasd rip

hi all. I took a long break from crawl and decided to play again. The unarmed combat VS summoner with chei (perfect in theory btw) that i splatted in pan still haunted me so i decided to play vssu. Been ridiculously lucky so far with potion of exp and all that other jazz. And... i don't know what to do now. Any advice on how i should skill?

I would try to find a buckler/shield and also worked on improving failure chance for summoning spells.

Edit. Maybe ring of Str has greater benefit on the failure than +2 int.

Going for shadow creatures seems reasonable to me for now. But I actually may wait till I can curse my second jewellery, ash skill boost helps a lot!

Other than that I would only train fighting, armour and dodging, at least around 15, but maybe even more. You have everything to win.

Wearing a buckler and training for it seems reasonable, too. Maybe even shields, but I am unsure about that.

I would use the acquirement scroll right away. I would acquire armour, but others may know the acquirement spoilers better than me. Acquiring a jewellery gives you a cursed one if I am not mistaken, which could help with your spells right away though, so maybe that is a better option. You do not have good jewellery anyway.

Blink and conjure flame are good spells. They are free with ash skill boost (once you have it for spells). Look out for other good low level spells, spells will be very cheap once you have skill boost.

On summoners, I always look for malign gateway. If you find it, you may consider training for it, but it is a late game spell, so do not train for it before defences.

Do not uncurse your +2 int ring for +2 str. The remove curse scrolls worth more now than this exchange, you want to curse jewellery as soon as possible.
