DsGl My strongest character so far, Ziggurat or Orb
Under the protection of Qazlal and with great evasion the game was quite a breeze until dungeon 11 where I found autumn katana! At this point the game started to look quite promising and I started breezing through the content. My great evasion stat and riposte allowed me the quite quickly defeat huge swarms of enemies and my regeneration and spirit shield allowed me to stay constantly on high health while slaying swarms of enemies. I was feeling quite confident that a dodge based evasion build would be taking me quite far especially with my amazing weapon.
This was until I found Wyrmbane. Even at high Long blades investment the wyrmblade was so promising weapon that I had to swap from Long blades to Polearms. Luckily I found manual of polearms at the bottom of the Shoals allowing me to Greatly enhance my Training in polearms. + Autumn katana was so good weapon that I was so much a head in power cure that I still had eazy time clearing the snakepit while only training polearms. After the Snake pit I decided to clear Deths in hopes of developing my Wyrmbane to enchantment level 18 and quite luckily Depths actually contained enough dragons to gain maximum enchantment level in wyrnbane! While at the depths I was also fortunate enough find boots of running! Also at the depths I found a sweat golden dragon armor, but since my resistances were good and i was breezing through the content i decided to hold onto my scrolls of enchant armor until I knew whetever i would be having Golden dragon armor or something else as my final armor.
After the depths I went to elvenhalls where I found the ring "Usoreretz" {Wiz rElec rF- MR++ MP+9}. The -rFire seems quite unfortunate, but maybe MR++ might be useful at the Tomb, so I picked it up just for that. After the elven halls i went to the vaults. In the vaults after breezing through the first levels i Found desolation of Salt where i found +2 Crystal plate armor! At this point i was considering which armor to use at the end game. I decided to decide that after I had cleared the Slime pit and Zot (the most annoying sources of mutations).
Earlier I had found a treasure trove that required a fire dragon armor +3. At first i decided to wait bit further before I commit my enchant armour scrolls, but after clearing the slime pit i felt that chance of finding enchanted Fire Dragon armor would be very slim, so I decided the enchant spend 3 scrolls of enchant armor in order to see whats inside the trove. Within the trove there was Large shield of cold resistance and +0 cloak of the Yeti {rN+ SInv Stlth+}.
Then I cleared realm zott and started to guaff potions of mutation in order to clear myself of the worst mutations I have. After quaffing a few potions I noticed that i had rfire++ and rCold+ form my mutations. At this point i decided to commit my scrolls of enchant armor into my crystalplate since i was feeling quite confident about my resistance being enough for rest of the game. At this point i had rFire+++ (even while getting -rFire from my ring), rCold+++, rN+++, rPois, rElec and maxium magic resistance and I decided that extra resistances from golde drangon armor aren't necessary and i commit my Enchant armor Scrolls. now i had +10 Crystal plate to protect me from physical damage.
Then i decided to get tomb and abyssal rune. Tomb was the only point at which i actually felt dangerous, but manage to survive the final level with Scroll of Immolation and some disater area + apheaval. Abyss was very fast. Now it was time for visiting the pandemonium. In there i found Gloorx Vloq quite fast and killed him and his allies quickly with some disasater areas and Finished the job with my wyrm blade. At this point i decided to try to clear "loses temper at combat"-mutation since I've found that to be potentially game ending mutation and i was still afraid that hell might prove to be problem. Unfortunately i lost my resistance mutation, but i notced that i can have rF++ and rC+++ rN+++ even without the help from mutations... This would require me to lower my magic resistance a bit, but even then I had magic resistance that was only 1 level away from maxium magic reistance.
After that i found the next pandemonium lords quite easily, but since I found exit after finding the last pandemonium lord rune, I decided to clear the hell before if risk future mutations in pandemonium. At this point my build was so strong that even the hell felt quit easy. I generally renerated more health than i lost from combat. Only chain tormenting actually forced my to worry about my game strategy. Anyway all the hells were extreamly easy. Ereshkigal died to disaster area and few attacks, titanus. Dispater gave me bit of trouble, but still died quite quickly. Even Antaeus felt quite easy. Only hell lord that caused my trouble waz azmodan since i carelessly entered his Chambers at half health, thinking it was just a tresure trove. This forced me to use scroll of teleportation in order to get to safty. On the second fight i started at full health and dispatch of him easily.
After that I went to pademonium to get demonic rune of zot. i was lucky and found it in the first pandemonium I entered and after few more pandemonium i found portal to abyss which i used to exist pandemonium.
So now I have 15 runes. And i'm considering whetever I should go to ziggurat just for lulz or whetever i should just get the orb of zot and escape the dungeon. I think this is one of the fastest dungeon times i've done thanks to my extream health regeneration and It might allow me to have one of the best high scores I've ever had, even though at the beginning i wasted time exploring level i didn't need to explore completely thanks to the constant regeneration I only had to recover health few times. Or should i go to ziggurat and see how far i can push my luck. At this point i haven't actually used many of consumables since combats have been so eazy that there hasn't been any need for it. (I've only really used healing potions to recover paticularly nasty string of torments and might + agility for most pandemonium and hell lords.)
My demonspawn mutations were, Protected by Blood, regenerates health, Magic shield, horns and augmented strength and magic. The augmentation allowed me to kill most enemies extreamly quickly as long as i had high health and the regeneration and magic shield allowed me to keep my health high even while constantly fighting. Qazlal increased my defenses quite a bit and allowed my not to worry as much about missile attacks (I had repel missiles, amulet of reflection and a lot of SH points to keep me safe). In addition disaster area was excellent at dealing with enemies in those few momenets where they started to swarm me and provided me a lot of health generation after, and apheaval allowed me to kill tormentors and other important targets quickly from distance.
! So. Hopefully you enjoyed reading the story of character. Should i go to ziggurat for lulz or maybe I should just secure my score and escape the dungeon !
