YAVP: Gola, DsCK of Xom

This is the first time I play a long game with Xom, and I am surprised at the fun I had. I thought Xom was the mummy of gods, but I really was wrong! He forces you to think a lot, and changes the situation very often, so you are actually more stimulated than normal. Also, immolation suddenly becomes more useful when you are dropped in the middle of a pack.
I started out with a mace, got Yuf's staff, then found Eos and switched over, in spite of a laja of speed I was building up. I acquired a crystal plate, so I abandoned my old plan to learn some spells. Especially at the start, I spammed a wand of paralysis to take on ogres and double ogres.
I never had a game with so many mutations! Having been in mutation WizLab, I came back with about fifteen potions. I spent a good part of the game trying to kick my horns and beak back, since I had a nice mr++ artifact helmet.
This must have been the hardest zot lung fight I ever got in, what with Xom throwing me around and Orbs coming at me three at a time and ancient liches following them @_@ and then chaos clouds everywhere and everything was hasted.
Fun game, I am pretty sure I wouldn't have survived Hell or Pan or Tomb. I even didn't do V5 and went for Abyss 3 instead.
