YAVP : NaWz^Sif, 15 runes, first online win !
At long last, I've got a win on webtiles ! 4th win overall, with 15 runes.
I never abandoned Sif Muna, even though I was advised to multiple times by different people, because I really like the comfort of on-demand infini-mana. I know Vehumet provides some too, but when you do run out of mana (and it does happen, at least to me), there isn't a thing he can do for you.
The naga speed was never a big problem, and the HP really helped, with almost 300 in the end.
There was a very close moment in a Ziggurat (Tomb level). I'd entered it to get some food, since I have abused godly and evokable channeling throughout the whole game, and only had 4 jellies left and 3 runes to get (btw this is probably the first time I ever used scrolls of acquirement to get food
) Anyhow I figured I might as well go as far in the zig as possible, but I played that floor way too fast and so Bob's your uncle, I lost a ton of HP. I figured a teleport could get me out of it, which was just the worst possible thing I could have done, it got me almost in the middle of the floor with 1HP, next to a greater mummy and with 7 smiters in view. I did manage to blink into a corner, use ?fog and quaff all 5 of my !hw, but that was way too close and I got the hell out of there... into Hell actually. got my missing runes and went back to the surface with the Orb.
This game took me more than a week to finish, since I was a bit on and off, and I stopped playing whenever I felt like I was getting tired of playing carefully because hubris is right around the corner.
Thanks to all the great people who helped and counselled me during this game, I probably couldn't have done it without some of the help I got !
