CiP: SpEn of Gozag - questions

3 questions:

1) Does Robe of Clouds make noise?
2) Am I right that scarf of Cloud Cover {Str+6} does not have an ego despite its great name?

3) Why is Gozag so bad even for Sp? I created 3 antique armour shops with nothing useful. Though 4th shop gave me that robe of clouds. Yet acquirement was even more disappointing: I had a stack of 3 on D:8 and acquired IDS, +2 hat and a scarf of cloud immunity. Later acquired antimagic short sword. I am still dreaming to find a shadow dragon scales, that might be fun for SpEn since I have a +5 ring of strength, that would allow me to have Str 16.
Potion of brilliance is a broken item, it got Discord from 89% to 16%, Orc Warlord was killing everyone for me on Orc:2

Scarf of cloud cover does not give an ego. Shadow dragon armour is still probably too heavy for you even with a ring of Str. I would not go higher than IDS, maybe not even that heavy.

2) Yes.
3) Armour shops don't adjust the items to things you can wear, so they're especially sucky for species with armour restrictions. Other than that, Gozag seems like he'd be better for Spriggans since giving up corpses is less important for them.

Your experience with acquirement seems maybe slightly unlucky, but not outrageously so.
