YAD: FeVM^Usk
I rolled a FeVM as I don't have a VM win yet, and sometimes I find felids fun to play. VM is an ok start as a felid: Sting + quick movement is quite useful, and Mephitic Cloud is a very cheap, but loud confusing spell.
Found an altar of Uskayaw before Temple, and because I've never used it, and remembered reading it sometimes paralyzes enemies, I thought that'd be a nice match for a stabby felid.
Turns out, Usk only helps you if you fight a bunch of monsters in a short amount of turns, which is pretty antithetical to felid gameplay, unless one throws all caution to the wind. I reckon Usk might begin to be really useful after getting Statue Form online, but alas, never got that far this time.
Of all the places left, I had Swamp:4, O:2 with Rupert, and Snake:1 with a shock serpent by the stairs which took half my health pretty much instantaneously. And D:14 with two vaults which I was trying to clear in hopes of finding Statue Form, but I wasn't killing a deep elf annihilator quickly enough with my normal high-MR monster tactic: Confusing Touch and stabstabstab.
It seems that for a successful felid run, I need a lot of luck with gear. I got rPois for Lair rune branches, disabling spells, but no Repel Missiles to dodge large rocks and high-level spells. And no Statue Form.
And no Okawaru. EV boost and more-than-double killing power seems just so much better than anything else. Non-Oka felids seem like a challenge game to me.
