CIP -> YAVP KoHu of Okawaru - Saved by a Panlord
Most of my wins so far have been heavy armour types, and I don't think I've ever gotten a stealthy/ranged type this far before. Game has been fairly smooth so far, but I'm moving towards Depths and I'm feeling a bit strapped for resistances. Cleared the first two levels of Elf, hoping to find something good but came up short. Would appreciate tips/suggestions on how to proceed:
Wore that artifact ring mail for much of the game so far, switched to Swamp Dragon Scales for the Lair runes. I have a Fire dragon armour on the ground somewhere, should I hold out for something better (Shadow Dragon Scales?) or enchant one of the armours I already have. How do I work around my poor resistances if I don't find anything good by Vaults 4?
Primarily using my crossbow, switching to the rapier for melee; found the unbranded quickblade to work poorly in the vaults, hoping to find a brand armour scroll somewhere.
Any other tips are welcome, as I don't have much experience with these kinds of characters.

Wore that artifact ring mail for much of the game so far, switched to Swamp Dragon Scales for the Lair runes. I have a Fire dragon armour on the ground somewhere, should I hold out for something better (Shadow Dragon Scales?) or enchant one of the armours I already have. How do I work around my poor resistances if I don't find anything good by Vaults 4?
Primarily using my crossbow, switching to the rapier for melee; found the unbranded quickblade to work poorly in the vaults, hoping to find a brand armour scroll somewhere.
Any other tips are welcome, as I don't have much experience with these kinds of characters.

Once there I could regenerate and find a portal out - reappeared right next to the panlord again, but since I was at full health, I could just walk to the exit - ascended while standing right next to it
