YASoSD: TEAE, my furthest caster

6 months ago i was tilted from my character dying to my spamma-tab(a caster) and stopped playing this game. But then again, i found the urge to play it again.
I have 5 wins under my belt, 3 of them are melee, 1 stabber/tabber, 1 fedhas empowered mfsk.
When i roll up a caster, i suddenly get tired from kiting and mana managing that i tab and suicide. But finally i found a caster that is fun... air elementalist.(fire too boring ice too hybridy earth the most boring thing ever, summoner still tilted from my musu dying)

After many tries i finally got this bird to this state. I cleared elves, spider, shoals with help of poison arrow, battlesphere and freezing cloud. (air strike worked well against those flying dancing thingies) Lightning bolt is strong, killing dragon instantly, but i am too scared to use it :( Anyways got my tornado, still looking for chain lighting(fun fun spell)

Oh and should i memorize conjure ball lightining?

Re: CIP: TEAE, my furthest caster

Walking around with rC- is dangerous. Wear the ring of rC instead of sInv. (It's OK to switch out when needed, but be sure to switch back before exploring or traveling.)

You've got great Fighting, Dodging, and attack spells. I'd find the best 1-handed weapon and train it to mindelay soon. Maybe also Evocations or Summoning, although Tornado etc don't work well with summons.

I find Crypt easier than Depths, so that's where I'd go next. How about Slime for the 3rd rune?

Mostly just play careful and you should be in good shape.

Re: CIP: TEAE, my furthest caster

Ball lightning is an awesome, dangerous fun fun dangerous fun spell. A spell that you will never regret unleashing 3 times in a row at a tormenting monster without stopping to think about potential consequences, or you know, maybe reading some of those messages the game gives you, because you are too mesmerised by all the pretty lights. Learn it, use it, but be careful :), especially in confined places. Its safer combined with either cBlink or (I have heard) with actually paying attention to the game messages between casts.

Of course, given its general superiority in open spaces, and the fact you almost have Tornado online, you could safely skip it as well.

Sorry about the character. Make sure to check mutations after fighting orbs of fire.

Re: CIP: TEAE, my furthest caster

Hmm, you seem to have a bias against 'hybridy' characters. In general, that's not a healthy mindset for blaster casters.

Re: CIP: TEAE, my furthest caster

That's the thing, you're treating Skald and "blaster caster with melee" as the same. Tunnel-vision into stereotypes is not good for blaster casters (or enchanters). After the midgame, you need a Plan B for when you're out of MP and the fight's not over (loud noises make this likely). That Plan B doesn't have to be melee, but you need something.

Re: CIP: TEAE, my furthest caster

For the record the death was not caused by lack of plan B. The character still had 19 MP and Tornado at 4%. Just a tactical mistake on top of frail 1 and blurry vision 1, nothing to worry about strategy-wise IMHO.

Edit. The character did have plan B: +7 eudemon blade at min delay with decent defenses.
