I think you should try a Deep Elf Fire Elementalist. Or any deep elf, really. Dithmengos, Sif Muna and Vehumet are all good god choices. They require a lot more caution than Minotaurs, so it should be a challenge.

Congrats, though! May this be the first of many wins. I'd suggest doing a Deep Elf Earth Elementalist, it's my favorite caster.

Gratz on the win! Pretty quick in terms of how many splats before you got there.

A DE is good for learning the ropes of spells. But after you splat a bunch of glass cannons while learning, I recommend you go for a Dr when trying to actually win with a caster.

Finally, i kept a fighter background but i chose to worship kiku for torment resistance and for species i took an hill orc for the +3 in invocations skill, although i couldn't train it because kiku use necromancy only

i didn't dare to enter vault 5 for a 4th rune ... additionally there was the frightening Mennas at vault 4

i'm not comfortable with caster because with so less hp i find the game less forgiving

Animate Skeleton and Corpse Rot would have been the spells to aim for when worshipping Kiku as a fighter. If all that EXP you put into Shields had gone into Necromancy instead, you could have had other Necromancies online too despite the GDA. Those skeletons (or zombies) would then let you use tactics to guard yourself against malmute beams (yes they need LOS).

I like playing gargoyle because with the RPois an easy access to the Lair is guaranted
it was my first try with Vaults 5 and the silver rune ... was very scared before entering but after all it was not so difficult with the immolation scroll trick

I enjoy the axe cleaving hill orc a lot.
it was my first run with 5 runes. only get 3 runes victory before.

Congrats on all the wins in so few games. Very impressive.

Maybe you should try a hybrid that kills thing with melee and uses spells for extra offense & defense. Merfolk Skald (polearms) or Merfolk Ice Elementalist are good.

Also, Spriggan Enchanter and Centaur Hunter (bows) are different from what you've played. Vine Stalker Assassin is fun. I actually like Deep Elf Conjurer/Fire Elementalist/etc, but the others are right that Draconian, Human, Demigod, etc are less fragile.

Draconian and Demonspawn are fun because of the random changes as you get more XL.

Oh, try Kiku again sometime if you get to like casting: he's one of the strongest gods, but you have to actually cast Animate Dead, Simulacrum, Death Channel, etc (and use Receive Corpses before many of them) to get the benefits.

It was also the first time I dared enter a ziggurat. I went to level 16. I manage to survive a pan lord level !

I had a though time in tomb when I ran in 6 greater mummy in a hallway

It was fearsome in pandemonium. I ran in a teleport trap in Lom lobom level and arrive in the middle of his fortress. I was lucky teleporting back with a scroll near where i teleport initially !
Also i discovered that cerebov et lom lobom were hunting me level after level after i stole their rune. I wasn't aware it would be like that !
I ran into hellion island ... scary ... but i manage to escape with invisibility

I found in necromutation the answer to my problem of receiving tons of mutations in abyss and pandemonium, with so scarce cure mutation potion

Receive corpse ability from kiku followed by casting Animate dead gave me a lot of flexibility for a melee fighter. great combo !

Dungeon crawl is really really difficult but it is why winning is so great !
