Should I use the flail or a giant club? The +5 ac is nice.

I'd go with the flail for now as the AC is good and it's at mindelay. Train fighting up to 10 or so and then add maces again.
Once it's close to the giant club's min delay or you need to hit harder switch to the giant club.

The GC does a ton more damage so if you want to kill things, use it. You don't have to train it to mindelay straight away, at first getting it to swing at 1.0 aut is fine.

I believe it is optimal to have Fighting just a couple of levels below M&F early game for Og (10 Fighting, 14 M&F, for example). You need the extra HP because it is your primarily defense early game and it increases accuracy and damage too.

Use giant clubs as soon as you hit 8 in Maces & Flails, they're that much better. The +5 AC on your flail doesn't matter.

Another tip is to use giant clubs instead of giant spiked clubs until you have about 21-22 in M&F; the difference in weapon delay is significant.

Just died stupidly in orc 2, forgot trog's hand, and got paralyzed and killed from near full health by orc sorcerer.
Edit: It was not the sorcerer that paralyzed me. Instead, a summoned chaos spawn did so.
