Which weapon should I use, vampiric axe, or draining axe? Vampiric axe will also prevent me from using rods, and there is a nice rod of shadows in a shop.

But the draining one has +3 enchantment, which is +1.5? damage, which will help kill orbs of fire quicker (only have 1 cmut potion, only 2 generated so far, had to drink one to cure blurry vision/shoutitis). Also, with Makhleb healing, I do not feel like I am being attritioned to death.

You can swap weapons when you really need like when fighting orbs of fire.

Seriously, DD of Makhleb with vampiric execuioner's axe is the most broken combo in the whole game.

I managed to clear most of vaults 5 welcome committee with only a few stairdances with the vamp axe.
