This character is obviously quite spoiled for items at this stage of the game, with PDA of slaying, two nice rings, and a wand of heal wounds for good measure. What I am not certain about is how precisely to make the most of it. To elaborate, there are two rings of slaying available in a shop in the dungeon, and I normally prioritize slaying over almost anything so long as it does not completely deprive me of resistances. In this case, however, I must decide between 8 AC from the ring of robustness, or 4 slaying from the better of the shop rings. After 5000ish games I am still quite stoopid and have some difficulty with such dilemmas. So, I ask: what would you choose?
On skilling decisions: I am aware that I have undertrained dodging. It's a chronic bad habit of mine. I keep wanting to put the spare experience in shields for the next biggest example I find. If EV is considered markedly better point for point than SH or vice versa, I am clueless about it, so feel free to point it out. All I know is that I have recently nearly died to yaktaurs on D:14, and either one would obviously improve my chances against other ranged weapons in the future. I rarely bother with training casting skills even as a typically magic-using background out of personal preference, and as a Fo I cannot make use of haste, but I could easily make an exception for regeneration if it's lying around somewhere and I am open to suggestions.
If I am otherwise doing anything incredibly stupid, please point it out. EE is one of only two backgrounds left that I have not yet ascended as a Fo, and it would be quite nice if I managed not to splat this one. Thank you. ^^
