VS in general is really strong, and Tm means you use UC => fast attacks => more antimagic bites.

Also, Cerebov isn't that threatening. He's much more benign than Lom Lobon, Asmodeus, and Dispater.

Not with statue form, anyway. And yeah this was mostly me showing off this crazy good char. Cery died in 100ish auts and only used FS once because of antimagic bite.

I killed all of the pan and hell lords, actually. Out of all of them, Lom Lobon was the most threatening (had to flee once) and Ereshkigal got the closest to killing me (berserked statue and she still managed to take over half of my health). Anteaus was the easiest, being the only one not killed with BH or Statue (lichform and I didn't take a scratch; the ice fiends next to him were more threatening).

Also, I didn't grind. Auto explore + stash.

Asmodeus is the beefiest thing in the game. Lom is the deadliest. I'm always happy when I can 1shot lom with a stab.

Asmo has 400 or 450 HP, which seems to be the most common Lord HP. Cerebov has 650 and Anta 700. Cerebov has better AC though, IIRC.

anyway, I guess what I wanted to say is that kicking the shit out of lords feels really cool the first 10 or so times you are doing that, so pointing out how Crawl is pathetically easy and nothing you can possibly do in it counts as a real achievement outside of a few ridiculous speedruns/streaks is kind of rude

Grabbed some cure muts at my stash before ascending so I could come home to the family clean. Probably should've grabbed Asmodeus' scepter while I was at it. Oh well, they'll just have to settle for Cery's sword as a war trophy.

I wish Dragon Form was better. Currently the bonus damage isn't worth the frailty. Maybe if I were a Draconian I could get some use out of it, since they get an addition 15 or 20 AC, but as it stands it's kinda bleh. Statue Form already seems to have done around 50 to 100 damage a shot.

Yeah, dragon form is really underwhelming. In my felid experience, dragon form has actually tended to directly lead to my death, since it kills my EV and doesn't make me all that much more powerful. On any other transmuter, statue form seems better anyway, too.

As far as damage goes:

Dragon Form: (18 + str*(2/3) + unarmed_skill). Gives Claws 3 (works for offhand punch) and 2 additional auxiliary attacks, bite and tail-slap.

Blade Hands: (8 + (str+dex)/3 + unarmed_skill).

18 + str*(2/3) + unarmed_skill = 8 + (str+dex)/3 + unarmed_skill
10 + 2*str/3 = str/3 + dex/3
10 + str/3 = dex/3
30 + str = dex

Dragon form is more powerful than blades, unless your dex is more than 30 higher than your Strength.

That said, Felid is about the worst race to use Dragon form with, since they have virtually no strength, while troll is the best. (high STR, high base HP to add into the 1.5x). I've had good success with Dragon form before with various different races, myself. I certainly think it's better than Blades for much of extended since the high HP is effectively rHellfire and it gives rF++. The slaying level (erm base damage) gets much higher than blades and into insane levels in the average game; in 0.17- I'd tell you to stack on Ozo's and Phase Shift to make up for the poor defenses, now...I guess you just need to train dodging and there's nothing else for it.
