CIP -> YAVP: MfIE of Okawaru -> TSO (15 runes)

Hi! It's me again,
after the sad experience of losing my first high level kitty, I decided to buy a fish instead- and train it to avenge my cat tenfold... :evil:
He's currently going strong- though he's a little squishy... Thankfully, Glaciate is not too far off from being reliable (It's difficult for something to harm you if it's frozen solid).

Managed to clear most of Zot:5, not to mention all other branches with the exception of the 5 pan runes,
the abyssal and two hell runes (though I did accidentally ninja one, so Dispater got away, and Dis:7 remains incomplete...).
I accidentally got an opportunity to ninja the rune in Dis:7 while fleeing for my life and about to teleport and thought why not...
I then tried to go back for Dispater, but Hell Sentinels are terrifying and luck didn't seem to be with me in Dis, so I ran (unlike Cocytus, which was a breeze for once).
Tomb was the last branch I cleared; Wasn't too bad, especially compared to my experience in Dis- not entirely sure where I want to go next at the moment.
I'm thinking Pan might help me load up on supplies, but the thought of running into Cerebov is a little sketchy right now;
It would be neat if that flesh-shield spell stacks with Ozocubu's Armour- 28 AC is OK, but adding a little more would make me feel much safer.

Since the shoals spawned, my current skill plan is to start training Throwing when Glaciate becomes reliable, so I have a free/cheap, powerful attack that is faster than OOD, and has a longer range than Glaciate (though weaker than either).

Edit:
I'm up to 10 runes now, only Pan is left: I'm tempted to ditch this FDA for my robe again for the EV once I'm done with Cerebov;
The robe of resistance has served me well, but I don't like the idea of a thin layer of ice being the only thing giving me any AC against that fiery sword...

Up to 15 runes now, not really sure weather I want to win or attempt to clear some zigs, probably the latter.

Alright- so I'm thinking about clearing some zigs instead of waltzing into the mostly cleared out Zot:5 and running off with the orb;
Any tips for what spells/skills/gear would be useful besides switching to Makhleb, learning Necromution and abusing Darkness?
Mummy floors especially concern me, I've lost powerful characters to the slightest miss steps on them.
