YAVP - TrCK - Why does Xom have to be this bad?

This troll was strong and lucky with equipment (except for scrolls, there were nowhere near enough encant armour or recharge scrolls). With any normal god, or even with no god, this would have been an easy run. With Xom, it was hard. But a win is a win.

Also, I don't understand why people say Xom is fun. Some random annoying events without context or meaning are not fun, at least not in my book. Fuck Xom, I leave it for players who think this game is too easy.

Imagine the following:

A player has collected 14 runes and looks for the golden rune as the last one. When he stairdances from tomb:2 to tomb:3 and Xom says "whee!", teleporting the player around in tomb:3, there are two possibilities:

  • You are playing this game
  • You are watching this game
The point of whether Xom is fun or not could depend on the question if you are player or spectator. Whatsoever, Xom howls with laughter!

I think I had various points (Vaults 5, Zot 5, etc..) where I had around 15 people watching my game and just laughing every time Xom teleported me amongst a bunch of Ancient Liches. He teleported me away from the orb right when I was gonna grab it too..

There were times I wanted to smash my head into my keyboard, but I still keep a fond memory of it. Xom ain't for everyone, but it's still "fun"
