CIP->YASD: DgTm revisited
Based on some recent posts, I'm not the only one who is unsure how to build a transmuter "optimally". It takes little fsim'ing to see that pumping up UC has great gains until it's maxed, but obviously there are other skills that need to be raised too. And then there's the question of when to stop skilling UC/Fgt/Ddg(/Arm) and make the relatively big investment on getting BH online. Any suggestions on that?
I never seem to go for Ice Form, it seems so situational and if one concentrates the training in Spc/Trmt, BH is online before IF. Having never really used it, I had to fsim it against a hydra, and an otherwise identical character nearly died in a test fight anyway.
I've lost a couple DgTm's now, and I've generally skilled like my current char, but right about where this one is at (Lair:1) I started training up either Throwing or Evocations depending on whether I'd found a stack of javelins/tomahawks or +Inv ring/useful wands. The main use case here is hydras, but softening up dangerous enemies from distance is useful against a number of threats.
Any tips/comments on skilling?
