[CIP] > [YAVP] DsTm^Oka considering ranged options
Just cleared lair, trying to decide if I need a way to deal damage at range. Oka will fix me up with ammo so that's not an issue, and Shoals spawned so there will be more than enough throwables. I also got a decent sling: the +8 hunting sling "Cuafigeu" {velocity, rPois Str+4 Int-5}. So I guess slings and throwing are my two main options. Demonic guardian is present and will be annoying but I do have portal projectile in a book if needed. Crossbows (found an unbranded triple), evocations (fan of gales + wands) and conjurations are possibilities as well but probably not as strong.
So, my two main questions are: do I even need range on this character, and if so, should I go for exp efficiency with slings or maximum power with throwing? I could just wait and see a bit longer but I'm greedy and don't want to miss out on ammo gifts so I'd like to start training something soon.
Other pointers are welcome too if you notice something.
