CIP need advice. First time posting. Hope this works.

I think I have gotten very lucky so far. But im not sure. I want to clear the swamp and whatnot but I have no poison resistance. I hope my seemingly god tier gear will get me through and my two rings of regeneration will make up for my lack of poison resistance. I am thinking of tredging through the dungeon till I get to the vaults. also should I cut off dodging skill? I am worried about this armor too because it wont let me teleport. It is so awesome, but I am not sure if it will hold up in the long with no teleport. I have an amulet of clarity in my stash. Should I get it before going anywhere? I have not won before and I think I have a game winner. I dont want to screw him up.

Off-topic:

Next time, please just copy paste the text from your character dump between the [code][/code] tags. Much easier to read than whatever attachment voodoo you pulled originally.

On Topic:

If you did the Hive without rPois, you shouldn't be scared of poison in the swamp. The real danger in the swamp is the mephitic clouds from swamp drakes. rPois blocks meph confusion, but so does Clarity. The amulet also still allows you to choose to go berserk (it only blocks unintentional berserkitis). The big, non-poison problem in the swamp are hydrae, though. Doubly for you, since you lack the option to use scrolls to blink or tele away if you're in trouble. So make sure you switch to your axe of flame- your speed one is awesome, but will just give a hydra more heads.

A berseker is probably one of the best jobs to go with Maxwell's armor, since the -Cast doesn't hurt you. It's still a trade off though, and you have to take some precautions to avoid death. To counter the -tele, and the escape options tele / blink usually provides, tank up. Train armor. Don't be afraid to commit early to battle with a berserk- if you can't run, the extra hp and attack are gonna be worth it. Find a buckler and start training shields- taking less damage when you can't run is worth forgoing 2 handed weapons any day (your randart axe of speed is 1.5 handed- meaning you can still take a shield). Don't be afraid to throw brothers in arms at dangerous things- early if need be, so you can run like a coward while they kill or hold off anything that really scares you. Possibly train a ranged weapon- Trog is an awesome source of ammo once you've got enough axe gifts, and it'll help make you more versatile. Basically, be prepared to burn other options and hit hard and fast so your life doesn't depend on a speedy, magical retreat.

Of course, I am the spriggan hybrid addict, so what do I know about not running and tanking? :roll:

You really don't need to carry all your Hive loot at once. :p Or is the double regen hunger just that bad?

That broad axe of speed is indeed pretty good, but I still would seriously consider going two-handed for that vampiric executioner's axe. I got my first win with a vampiric triple sword wielding VpEn, and the way he could tank by draining HP was crazy, although admittedly he also benefited from Makhleb's HP for kills (but little to no natural regen as he was mostly bloodless). Not sure if it's worth giving up the shield for, but personally I'd give it a try.
Apart from that, lack of poison resistance is not such a big deal especially for the swamp, as you have clarity to protect you from swamp drakes' mephitic clouds. Unless you get red-poisoned, double ring of regeneration is overkill (at least as far as poison is concerned). ID that other ring you have, you never know, it might be a ring of slaying or somethng.

Use a large shield and a sling, simply because you need the best protection you can get. If you can't teleport, then don't let yourself get hit at all and don't let them monsters approach you without first tasting some bullets in their faces.

What about my bows? are they good enough for my distance attacking? is that even useful? or should I have stuck with throwing. I have a shield now, a blink amulet, a teleport ring, a dragon skin, and I am really not sure what to do with my patent armor. i think ill hold onto it until I find something better. also I found poison resist and completed the hive, snakepit, and swamp. should I do halls? or should I do slime pit? or vault?

The problem with bows is that they shoot extremely slow when used with a shield. So if you're using a shield, you want slings or throwing, if you're not you want bows or crossbows (and vice versa, if you want to use bows or crossbows you cant really use a shield). You can still fire one shot to finish off a fleeing enemy, but if something is running at you and not away from you using bow + shield is often not a good idea. At your bow skill (and shields skill) I would probably not start using shield and slings now. Berserkers have lots of spare exp, so it's not too late to switch, but shields at low skill are generally not great.

About branches: probably don't do slime. rCorr from Maxwell's and rC+++ make this about as easy as it gets, but it's still hard (and you really want access to teleport when fighting the royal jelly, but also really need rCorr for that fight, also you need rMut for shining eyes). Elf or Vaults should be next, but don't do Elf:5 or Vaults:8 yet. Don't even enter Vaults:8. You can also do the Crypt and the Hall of Blades, their entrances are in the vaults. A shield is very helpful both in Elf and Vaults because they have many ranged enemies, so this part of the game might be pretty hard for you. Dungeon and Crypt are not that hard, probably do those first. Either to train up shields, or to get as strong as possible before tackling the harder branches. Maybe skip Elf if you have good gear (lots of shops here, so only skip Elf:5 if you have a bunch of money you need to spend). My suggested branch order for you is:
Vaults to Crypt --> Crypt --> finish Dungeon --> Vault:7 --> Elf (if you are missing some important items, you want to be able to teleport here) --> Vault:8 (probably the hardest level in the game, teleporting is great here) --> Slime (only if you really still need better gear) --> Zot (teleport is very important here).
Stay out of slime, tomb, the hells and Pandemonium. If you switch to shields you can do the Vestibule of Hell for some nice exp, if not just stay out of there.

A fresh dump would be nice btw.
