CIP: Trying for Dg win

Well, bad player back again for a little feedback. I've managed through brute force (playing a ton of games) to win all but Dg, Fe, and Op. I'm once again trying for a DgIE (which, I know, should be easy according to most people here) and thought I'd post the character just to see what others had to say. I'm at about the point where a lot of my Dg's go off the rails -- rune branch time -- so instead of plowing ahead, I'm posting here first. Spent a lot of the game so far with the whip of elec and no weapon skill, just because I hadn't found much else. Not much by way of high-powered conj either so far. In Spider right now and feeling that "on the edge" feeling that usually means I'm a little underpowered at the moment.

Don't you have a +3 ring mail or TLA? Your spells are at 1% and with Str 15 you can easily wear it.
Consider training Necromancy for Animate Dead and eventually Simulacrum

I'm sure there's ring mail lying around -- I've been avoiding it in favor of Ozo's Armour so far. I've never been sure which way to go with this -- armor all the time is probably better than armor I have to cast on and could lose, but when to switch remains a tough one for me (again -- bad player, admittedly).

Oh, right, ignore my "advice" then. Funny, I wondered why your Ice is higher than Conj, realized it is due to Ozo Armour and next thing I did was to advise you switching to incompatible armour :)

I would look for steam dragon hides/ troll hides. SDA would be preferable, but troll leather is still good and much easier to find. Pick up blink if it is avalible, you have plenty of spell levels left. When I played my Dg that splated after getting 14 runes, I found the game just kept getting easier after I cleared lair, but I was playing DgMo... Good Luck!

I had an easy run with a demigod summoner in ring mail with all points in INT. I trained long blades right away and modestly leveled stealth to help get distraction stabs off my summons. In mid-game I transitioned to support magic, getting invis and silence. Haste was just a nice-to-have and Cblink was a bad call for 5 runes.

High-level summons are underwhelming for the investment, and by the time you get them you run into enemies with abjuration. I don't think conjurations are a particularly good choice for demigod either, because their strength allows decent armor and their HP allows toe-to-toe survivability.

If you're struggling with demigod, you may be too reckless, relying on gods to get you out of trouble. I don't know if this is the case.

Summons are more like a total broken school in crawl than underwhelming, at least if speaking about MM, hydra, xxx - I've no enough experience with dragons call to valutate it.
MM alone can win easily a 3 rune game and with players tanking/supporting the summons well.. It's more lolz. Most probably it's the most broken lv.6 spells to get for every kind of build.
And actually I very suggest DgSu because they can easily get high spell power on single/double school spells and canine/mm/hydra respectably at high level are just ridiculous (have you ever seen what can do a sphinx? Especially when you can get it before first lair branch?)
Plus dg with conjuration are a good for the same reason (high spell power) and they can get medium /heavy armour with lv5/6 spells due their high stats
