I mean, yes I got caught with my pants down because I totally underestimated the faun/satyr pack (Plus they woke up 1 square away, I should've just shadow-stepped instead of walking the 3 squares), but dead from >100 hps was not my expectation. Whoops, sad ending to an otherwise fun game.

Wait, fauns have 23 base damage, 0 spear is 6, that's 29 damage. I know satyrs have some kind of not-might "inspire to greatness" buff but even might is "only" +50% damage, this seems like it's more than double of what I'd expect to be max possible damage.

What happened?

Message log seems to indicate that the satyr slept me, so I expect there was some sort of stabbing effect as well (I think monster stabs do straight up double damage IIRC)

On the plus side, that's my first death to a faun/satyr pack ever, so it may be that they'll stick in my brain as something to actually be wary of from now on.
