So, I always saw 15 rune ascensions as impossible. In fact, even when I'd managed to work up to five or six rune ascensions, it seemed like an insurmountable feat. A couple of really bad experiences with Hell and Pan really scared me off them. But I was doing well and at least kill a couple of Pan lords, so I hit Pan. Turns out it's a lot easier than I expected. Or, rather, it's more manageable than I expected. After getting a couple of runes from it, I decided to go all the way. Then, after clearing up some other areas, decided to test the waters in Hell. And, whilst Antaeus, came close to killing me, I managed to get out of it pretty much unscathed.
Whilst I like my big, meaty characters a lot... I think I might now try to expand my palette once more. Any suggestions for what I should play as? I seem to recall spending a lot of games trying to make progress as a deep elf some time back, but gave them up when I discovered big, strapping minotaurs. So I might return to them... or I might try out something with a slightly more exotic playstyle.
