Decided to make Stabber of Ru from the start. Among first sacrifices there was hand sacrifice - I thought to myself "fuck it" and did it. Gained *** piety immediately - was not disappointed. Later it turned out that my DS going to be monstrous - such "luck". I never had more than 13 AC the whole game due to this mutations, but mana shield helped a lot and my melee damage skyrocketed. My bold sacrifice of a hand was refunded with ring "Geufasa" soon after and the macabre finger necklace later (I find this coincidence especially funny because this necklace is pretty rare).
Got lucky once again when found Vamp rapier and enchanted it up to max. It was useful until the end of mid game. In Depths found not one but two plain +5 quickblades. Branded one of them to piercing and it was more effective in Zot than my trusty rapier. Also had Elec rapier but almost never used it.
First play through with Ru, and I must say I like this god. For my taste, active abilities lack consistency with a god theme but that's a matter of opinion. Anyway, the reason I wanted to play stabber of Ru is because she sometimes blinds and paralyzes enemies which try to attack you and that's when those stabs do their job.
Tabmashing won't do - you have to pay attention to which monster is most vulnerable for attack at any given time.
P.S. I don't understand why Shadow dragon armor have amazing bonus to stealth and 15 encumbrance rating. Is heavy armor stabbers a thing now?
