Here's a character that looks like he's going to be my second victory. Was fairly tabby the whole game, except for the occasional teleport. I mostly managed not to bite off more than I could chew, and got away when I did. Ended up skipping past Wiglaf in Snake, and lost track of Sojobo in Depths. I got Shatter castable sometime in the end of Depths, and had lots of fun with it in Elf, and look forward to flattening draconians in Zot

Iron shot was, and is, my main damage source for a while (Except for earth-staff whacking); with a brief intermission where I played around with Poison Arrow for full-range damage. Have yet to cast LCS but I expect it to be pretty much be what it looks like, Iron Shot+1.
Only thing that was giving me trouble for a while was a near-total lack of MR: The marking in vaults was incredibly bad despite my best efforts to splat the convokers/sentinels as soon as I saw them.... but now I think I'm fairly ready to go in terms of avoiding banishment and paralysis.

Please point out any blindspots in terms of Zot readyness; I really want to see this guy escape with the orb!

Feel free to finish off training earth if you really want, but I'd say you're fairly low on dodging at this point. You're in robes, and yeah your dex is pretty terrible at 10, shame you don't have anything with +dex on it, but some more EV would be nice. You don't really have any holes as far as I can see, maybe raise regeneration spellpower a bit as that will help with having low gargoyle HP if a fight drags on. I'd mostly just try to get as tanky as you can, but you've already done a pretty good job at this

Victory number two, yes!
Gargoyles are so powerful; I have a feeling its going to take a lot of adjusting to switch to another race.

I had found the ring of shadows earlier, but did not wear it because I felt like I needed the MR ring more. Now that I have the MR hat, I could use Shadow to the most; I think the umbra definitely helped me split up fights. And between IOOD and Iron Shot, fights rarely lasted very long >:) Now that I think of it I wish I had cast stoneskin before ascending so I could see what kind of AC boost I was getting out of it at max earth magic.

The only scary point in zot was when I got teleportitis and dropped into one of the lungs before I had started pulling mobs out of it; and once more when an A.lich summoned an ice fiend in conjunction with a ghost moth wandering in. Luckly it turns out that staff of earth smashes face pretty well with 27 earth and high evoc!
