To be fair, the 32 EV is including an !agility buff, here.

But yes, the slaying and that plate are definitely exceptional.

With those stats, I would have learned some spells, though.

That's why I don't like quaffing might/agility before escaping. That EV 32 was closer to 20 in most fights.

Quaffing might+agility should be required before ascending imho, the game should just automatically give it to you. Then you wouldn't lose 2 turns on your speedrun! It's important to try to set AC+EV records even when you aren't in an active tournament, you know, for practice.

Also I still like v - +23 crystal plate armour of the Dwarven Hall {rPois} better, even if it has no slaying.

Poor mummies...
I wonder if someone died because of those extra quaffs. In my last game I had a panlord in LoS so after casting Phase Shift I realized how stupid it was and escaped without casting Ozocubu's Armour.
Another approach is to disqualify characters with might/agility/brilliance/berserk from the contest but I guess it won't happen.

Honestly I don't think might actually adds anything to your AC/EV stats. I think it might still reduce the dodging penalty slightly but I swear the couple of times I've done it I got 0 ev out of it. Could have just been a rounding issue. Basically it's just !agility gives you 5-8 ev or so, which seems like an odd thing to worry about.

I usually get more benefit out of swapping on evasion/protection rings that I wasn't actually using until d:1 on the way up, which you can't stop people from doing anyways.

Might can give EV in medium/heavy armour. It does not help in Statue Form, that's why you don't notice the bonus :)
