CiP : OpAs^Trog, share weaponry

This character is both fun and easy to play.

Trog allows easy skilling, I almost trained all my skills together through Lair, Orc and rune branches. Now that needles are reliable, even hard monsters become cheesecake :D I didn't suspect this build could be so powerful.

I don't know how "worse" are qblades compared to daggers for stabbing. What weapon would you use as default ? I like Wayjela for Stealth bonus and MR, I feel like Am is never needed...

much worse. only daggers get flat damage bonus to stab, and its a huge one. id macro "wa" to 1 and "wJ" to 2 and switch between them

All short blades are eligible for the flat bonus damage. Daggers just reach the cap much more easily.

Even so, with reasonable stealth + weapon skill it doesn't matter what shortblade you use.

It's long blades which can never replace a short blade in terms of stabbing. Rapiers/quickblades (or even short blades, but they're outclassed) could replace a dagger eventually, it just requires reasonably high stealth + short blades skill (and I think dex?) to make it worth it. And all you really gain is an inventory slot and some convenience - keeping the dagger isn't too hard.

By the way, if someone didn't know this: you can adjust item letters to "a" and "b" and the single quote ( ' ) key will toggle between them. Just keep a dagger and short blade as "a" and "b".

Generally, I never noticed much difference on stabbing common monsters between the two. Sleeping monsters die in one hit in any case, with decent stealth and short blade skill. Hard monsters might require a dagger.
