YAVP: four octopodes of dithmenos
Dithmenos is a great god for octopodes - not just stabbers. Reduction of enemy accuracy is great when your defenses are EV/SH. Shadow step to plants effectively provides a big bag of off-brand controlled blinks for lair problem solving. And the biggest benefit is free massive stealth without even having to train the stealth skill, which helps you pick your battles and fight enemies one at a time. Also, in extended, shadow form is occasionally useful.
I'm streaking octopodes of dithmenos with 15 runes each.

Fourth in streak, another pure melee statform bruiser. My gear gave me Stlth++++. As an octopode of dithmenos at max piety, I know from experience that alone would make me "uncannily stealthy," even if I didn't train any stealth. But I trained 27 stealth, making me stealthy beyond words. Managed to one-hit stab Gloorx Vloq, Mnoleg, Ereshkigal, and Asmodeus.
And my current work in progress, aiming for fifth in streak. On all the other podes I used long blades. This time I'm trying out maces for a change. I'm also using a two handed weapon this time instead of a shield, so we'll see how that works out. Shaping up to be another melee statform bruiser with few spells.
