My fourth ascension in total, first not with a gargoyle or Okawaru.

I was absolutely aching to ascend a kobold, and since my last promising kobold died in Z:5, I rolled a berserker dead-set on not making the same mistakes in Zot.

Scariest moment was when right before the Z:5 upstairs, I had a Pan Lord to the left and 3 asshole liches to the right. And someone started summoning demons (most noticeably a balrug). And I was at around half HP. The Pan Lord and two of the assholes followed me to Z:4, but deft use of evokable blink allowed me to reach the upstairs quickly, leaving them wondering what the hell happened.

This and a +9 antimagic quickblade carried me through the game. I also bought the crown of Dyrounpronounceableva.

It affects your strength (-1). It protects you from fire. It protects you from poison. It protects you from negative energy. It lets you turn invisible. It lets you blink.

Invistabbing makes short work of draconian packs, even with longblades and at the skill I had (11.5 total). Stealth in general let me get rid of a lot of stuff.

Vaults 5 was broken into with the good ol' haste-immolation-disc of storms.
