Drain was always good.

You would obviously want vamp more though, so it's a question of how lucky you feel, really.

So you seem to be playing him as almost strictly melee. Is this the norm?

I'm not sure it's the norm, I found good melee stuff, so I went melee !

Quick update :
I took a try at rebrand and got {vamp} ! Very lucky.
Just found a +5 vamp dwhip... any use for this ? I might alos rebrand it to look for elec as a second weapon

Can someone tell me if getting Shatter online is doable in plate with this char ? (that means : what is required, I cannot Wizmode...)

You are XL 22 and have no skills in Earth Magic. I wouldn't go for Shatter since I believe Necromutation/Revivification/cBlink is more useful in extended and you already have 13 levels in Necromancy

There's probably not enough exp left in the main dungeon for you to get Shatter to a reasonable failure rate. And if you're the type to go around raising every corpse you find/make (which should be the case since you are a necromancer) then Shatter will reduce not only your enemies but also your allies to shambles.

(Not to say that it is not doable, but hell....it would take a lot of time, and perhaps wizardry.)

But at this point you don't really need attack magic. A vampiric eveningstar is a godly weapon, double with makhleb regeneration, and besides that Mak already has some handy magic for you if you find yourself wanting for ranged non-physical damage.
