today I decided to give Ru a try, so I swiched to the branch, and rolled a MiGl to see if it worked. then I found a Vampiric lajatang, a wand of haste and one of heal wounds...
2:50 hours later I won. the whole thing happened while I was in the bus. pure melee. sacrificed evasion and every chance of spellcasting, weared a CPA, and bashed things to death. so, hum, here it is.

It looks like you used Cataclysm 11 times, Power Leap twice, and Draw Out Power four times. How many of those uses would you estimate saved you from a nasty situation? Did the draining feel like a meaningful drawback? What stopped you from using those powers more often?

I was too strong to need the abilities often. but every time I used, I solved a nasty situation. Cataclysm felt too strong, for an ability that costs nothing. every time I used, everything died. power leap... well, a Cblink for free is pretty nice. used it offensively exactly 0 times.
draining is not enough of a drawback.
