YAVP- KoBe (Bryant) of Trog
I splatted a few kobolds before I got this one going. As a result, on D:7 I met my ghostly mirror image:
Went with maces, because kobolds have bad aptitudes for other serious weapons, and +0 for maces. (Short blades apt is +3, but thanks no).
Originally I wanted some lighter armour (lighter than plate), because I had only 15 Str, a bit low for plate. But this changed when I found this:
So I pumped a few points to Str, and it became very good. In the end I had quite respectable AC and EV.
Trog did not want to gift me any good weapon, gave some tridents and cutlasses (was that a hint?), but finally gave a vampiric demon whip. Awesome.
The Snake ending was weird, the rune vault was completely cut off from the rest of the level by a thick wall of rock, but the inside was stone. There was a weak point, where you could dig in, but to find that point, I had to burn a lot of charges from my dig wands.
For the third rune I went into Slime, it is generally easier than Vaults:5. This decision was reinfoirced by the fact that Mara was on V:2, so I turned and never came back.
The toughest level was Depths:2, a big open level with several small vaults, containing some liches, Saint Roka and his team, and the Enchantress and her team!
Zot:5 was not too hard, but still I had a scary moment there: I was drawing out a group of draconians from an inner lung, when my way out was cut by an orb of fire, who probably wandered there from the other side. I read a fog scroll to buy some time, hasted myself, called a brother, and the enemy went down fast.
The ascension was very tough. 4 Pan lords and several 1s (executioners, ice fiend, shadow fiend).
