I had never tried Yred, and it's in fact quite fun, bone dragons allies are awesome.

I was really happy with mutations (+27% HP), but still have a question :
Body-slot facet : claws 3
Scales-type facet : rugged brown scales 3
Tier 2 facets : nightstalker 2, powered by death 2
Tier 3 facet : robust
My Tier 3 facet will obviously be +30%HP, but I already got +10 thanks to a potion of ben mut

High HP and a vamp executioner's axe sounds fun. Good thing it crosstrains with Polearms, so it's not completely silly to switch. PBD and vamp HP sucking will make up for some of the defenses you won't be building while getting that weapon going. And with DS in pan now, both the mutation and brand stay viable a lot longer. So yeah, bird in the hand and all.

As for robustness, as I recall, it caps at 30% since it's the same mutation strain, but it becomes unmutable once the last level comes in (I think there's even a 'genetic stability' message or some such).

It's a lot better than a +3 IDA. Your skills just aren't high enough right now but it's not like plate makes it impossible to pick up EV/spellcasting - that's possible in even heavier armour. You won't need much higher skills to cast the low-level charms or get decent EV. I would use the plate.

I wouldn't switch to axes.

When your DS genes kick in to replace it, the original mutation is "lost", and then your demonspawn mutation is "gained". You don't get to have a "DS" and an "ordinary" version of a mutation.

Should I consider obsidian axe ? I trained some levels for the vamp exec axe...


The obsidian axe causes you to be mesmerized whenever an enemy is around. It also summons weak friendly demons at high tension. I wouldn't use it.
