YASD - Steps away from my first spellcaster win
This is my first character that can cast LCS and fire storm reliably.
He had deflect missiles and controlled blink.
He died because I f**king forgot to cast deflect missiles before going down the stair to Vault:8. Several shadow dragons and stone giants dealt something like 90 damage to me as soon as I goes down the stairs. Immediately blinked away, but a shadow dragon still killed me with his breath. ARRRRRRRRRRRGH.
Note to self: as a deep elf, don't ever go down a stair without deflect missiles on, especially if already know there are several dragons and yaktaurs waiting for you. Also, always carry a scroll of fog!
