YAFVP: mhilhors the Minotaur Death Knight

At last! After 550 online games and I-don't-know-how-many offline, I finally managed to get away with the orb!
Playing Diablo III and the fact that playing on normal is the fastest way to get "better" there made me realize that I still needed to finish a real man's game. I've had some nice results in the past, my best attempt being a DEFE that died on Zot:5, I felt that, with a bit of luck, I should be able to do it. I never thought that victory would come so quickly though. This minotaur was my 10th character since I started playing again.
I still don't know what made me pick a Death Knight. I usually reject them with the idea that it's a half-baked necromancer and I could just make a real one instead. How wrong I was...
My first attempt was cut short by an adder, dying on level 1. That's not a real game, so I rolled another one. What can I tell about that game? I guess it must've been pretty boring for a spectator. After a scary encounter with Pikel, I quickly got some followers that were far stronger than anything I encountered, so I skipped past lair to see if I could kill everything in the main dungeon first. The stairs on level 13 however, landed me straight in a vault with a ton of humans, a skeletal warrior, Donald, Rupert and Josephine, so I gave up on that idea and cleaned Lair, Orc, Swamp and Spider first.
After some more easy killing and runegrabbing (Depths, Vaults, Elf, Crypt) I started thinking about grabbing some more runes, but decided that I wasn't going to throw this away. Nethack has taught me that lesson well enough. Cleaning Zot 1-4 was easy enough, but one misstep in the orb chamber cost me my entire army of the dead. An Orb of Fire shot a fireball at me and instead of dragging it to a safe spot, I moved towards it. Now I was looking at a whole group of nasties, so I decided to run away, leaving my monstrous bodyguards to cover my escape.
I had learned my lesson, and I started to play it safer and slowly cleared the level. After killing a straggling group of draconians (and getting banished for it), I was almost ready to grab the Orb. The only thing I needed was a cup of tea to calm down my nerves.
The orb run was much easier than I expected. The only time I got scared was when I turned around a corner and was suddenly looking at a Pan Lord and an Executioner, but by then I had the exit vault in my sight, so I simply quaffed a potion of haste and when that ran out, I could already the staircase leading out of the dungeon.
