YAVP - DsFi

Been playing off and on for 2 years, I finallt made it out! Was Makhleb for most of the game then stumbled upon an Altar of Jiyva in the Abyss. Been playing Demonspawns for awhile--- This guy found The +8 Mottled Dragon Armor of the Special Eyes relatively early on, I knew he was my best shot at winning. Just had to stay alive long enough for my mutations to mature. I had never been past Dungeon lvl 20 before and had only previously gotten one rune before with my top characters. 15 rune run here I come!

Congratulations! First victory and Jiyva, a rare combination I guess... Also, slimy and abyssal runes instead of silver!

Tip: Next time, put the character dump between code tags, it becomes much nicer to read that way.

Congrats! I had my first DS win recently, and they are a lot of fun to play if you roll the right mutation set. Not sure how I feel about them in extended though - I didn't feel like mine was strong enough for anything more than the standard 3-rune combo, despite what I thought was good luck with gear and mutations. Good luck with your next build!

Thanks for the tip on the code tag... The Demonspawn/Jiyva thing comes mainly from my love of the random mutations. I like melee characters, stabbers and hybrid spellcasters of the more colorful races. I haven't had much luck with pure spellcasters. Been playing alot of ghouls, gargoyles, draconians, demonspawns and vampires. Any ideas regarding a race/class combo for first 15 rune run if not a demonspawn?

Any species/class that you are good at. Worship Zin if that species is not undead and that class is not necromancer.
