YAVP : MfAM, when you want to be abyssed !

Current MfAM, using demon trident and some support spells, also wondering about going towards damaging spells (ie Freezing Cloud)

I have those weapons :
  Code:
 a - a +5,+5 demon trident of flaming (weapon)
 V - a +1,+1 demon trident of freezing

and a bunch of ?EW. I also have a scroll of brand weapon.

Is it a good idea to try and rebrand the flame one, and if I get something "crappy" (pierce, drain, protection) enchant the freezing one ?

Any advice about my skills ?

<Sequell> scroll of brand weapon[2/3]: Rebrands melee weapons to: 20.2% flaming, 20.2% freezing, 13.5% venom, 10.1% draining, 10.1% vorpal, 10.1% electrocution, 8.1% protection, 5.4% vampiricism, 2% chaos. Ranged weapons: 25% flame, 25% frost, 16.6% venom, 16.6% vorpal, 10% evasion, 4.2% electrocution, 2.5% chaos. Reroll if same as current brand or disliked by your god.

Removing flaming, 10.1+5.4 out of 78.8 means a 20% chance of getting the brand that you want, the rest of the time it'll become something worse.

+1 fda is bad

you might as well rebrand the freezing dtrident, worst case is you get something you didn't want and continue not using it, best case you get elec and then enchant it and use it (no other brand will be noticeably better than flaming)

if you're feeling gutsy you could rebrand the flaming one instead, higher risk but higher reward

I thought that freezing was better than flame for endgame

it's not +4,+4 better except against cold-blooded enemies (so, draconians)

Well, I would have suggested going to Elf and waiting for a sorceror or demonologist to banish you, but it looks like you've cleared Elf already with no, umm, luck. Probably due to that very nice randart ring mail.

Unwielding distort seems best, but note that you can get glow instead as an effect. If you can get some harmless orc/elf to pick up a distort weapon, that might be safer.

I realised that I won't be able to play this weekend, so I had to finish the game now...

Too bad I didn't thought to give a disto weapon to an enemy :(

Here is a little win, allows me to get Lorekeeper II, NChoice III and Vow of Courage II, it's OK !
