Yes, it can be a good idea to wear unidentified ring (especially as non-melee character) but not unidentified amulet.

If you have the blink spell, it is optimal to cast it whenever you put on an unidentified amulet for the first time, to see if it is stasis.

That seems like really bad luck. Maybe it's not a good idea to wear ID jewelry without remove curse.
