This map has shown me the light of Zin. Looking at what kept killing me and other players, I came upon that if it wasn't dying in 2 seconds to the very first- four encounter(s) (which happens an awful lot in sprints) that inevitably in the Violet keep you were faced with a bit of a problem in the form of death drakes and plague shamblers. The opener for me was to clear out the 4 encounters in the immediate area, and then locate and kill Menkaure. By then the first section of the upper left should open, revealing Kirke and her troupe which also includes a skeleton warrior, but the shops on the left should handle that. Be aware that as the map goes in that the little hole that Kirke crawls out of is also host to a bunch of dragons which will pop out eventually.
However, the key for me was 100% Zin. Want to fly over the lava above the starting area to get to the 3 acquirement scrolls and kill the orange statue? Zin will protect you from the mutagenic fog. Want to kill those death drakes and plague shamblers but can't handle miasma? Zin can handle that. Open a door to a curse toe and Gloorx himself and find yourself at 10% the moment the door opens? Activate Sanctuary and flee. Finding those awesome rings and that awesome armor didn't hurt, and being UC let me abstain from hunting weapons. Berserk and Might for Murray at the end was pretty fantastic, love the whole "summons despawn when their caster dies" thing. I considered posting this as a CiP asking what I should request off of 3 Acquirement scrolls but then I just manned up and went jewelry all 3 times and that's what got the rage* for me. Never did kill Gloorx in the end. Presumably he went to wash his eyes off after staring into the blinding light of Zin's Sanctuary.
