So here's current dump:
And I'm debating whether to keep using my two demon tridents (+4+7 anti magic and +1 +4 flaming) Or switch to bardiches and drop the shield.
The two bardiches I have access to right now are both dragon slaying, one's +3 +1 and the other is +1 +2, I don't have any unused EW scrolls presently.
I have access to a +0 shield of reflection and a number of large shields (none ego yet, but it's early and large shields are plentiful in snake, where I am now)
With my *current* skills I do more damage with the demon tridents (More with the flaming than with the anti-magic) It would take getting my polearm skill to 26 and probably a few EW scrolls (And hopefully a better brand on them, although dragon slaying would be nice for zot) to push the bardiche's past the demon tridents in terms of damage done.
For right now my plan is to stick with the cheap (5 shields) buckler and not worry about training more shields, I have a FDA on deck which is equal in terms of AC to the ring I'm wearing, but has lots more room to be enchanted. I'm primarily not wearing it yet, because I don't have a source of rC yet (I also have MD hide and SD hide should I decide to ditch trog later and get some spellcasting)

And I'm debating whether to keep using my two demon tridents (+4+7 anti magic and +1 +4 flaming) Or switch to bardiches and drop the shield.
The two bardiches I have access to right now are both dragon slaying, one's +3 +1 and the other is +1 +2, I don't have any unused EW scrolls presently.
I have access to a +0 shield of reflection and a number of large shields (none ego yet, but it's early and large shields are plentiful in snake, where I am now)
With my *current* skills I do more damage with the demon tridents (More with the flaming than with the anti-magic) It would take getting my polearm skill to 26 and probably a few EW scrolls (And hopefully a better brand on them, although dragon slaying would be nice for zot) to push the bardiche's past the demon tridents in terms of damage done.
For right now my plan is to stick with the cheap (5 shields) buckler and not worry about training more shields, I have a FDA on deck which is equal in terms of AC to the ring I'm wearing, but has lots more room to be enchanted. I'm primarily not wearing it yet, because I don't have a source of rC yet (I also have MD hide and SD hide should I decide to ditch trog later and get some spellcasting)
