YASD: MuNe

I play as Mummies. I don't know why. Anyway, one of mine had gotten further than most. He had cleared out the Orcish Mines and Lair. I was heading down through the normal dungeon for a bit before taking on the spider lair. Anyways, things are going great when all of a sudden a fire crab pops out of nowhere and kills me in one hit with its fire attack. Did I mention I had over a hundred hit points by then? I did.

I was going through the dungeon before I went to spider. Besides, it was a 1 hit kill. Nothing I could have done.

Almost as bad as the time I got 1 hit killed by a slime monster because I forgot I had a scroll of tele.
(this one really was a one hit kill, according to the morgue file I got knocked down to -60.)

You don't walk around with fire vulnerability if you have the ability not to walk around with fire vulnerability. That's asking for exactly what happened to you.

The game before this I had RF++.
Never saw a single fire monster, and ended up getting steamrolled by a slime monster that ran faster than me and walked through my abominations like they weren't there.
That was around the point where I assumed I should just wear whatever and switch to RF if I happen to see a lava pit.

Don't rely on the presence or absence of lava to tell you when you need rF+. There are many spellcasting enemies, wands spawn on the floor, and pressure plate traps exist.

You don't need to walk around with rF+, but having rF- anywhere is generally really bad.
