MiBe - The return after a hiatus
Hello everyone, I've just come back to Crawl after a few month break (stopped around the beginning of december) and it turns out I still had a character on CSZO all this time! He had, from the looks of it, just finished up the Lair and so I took him through Orc and now Vaults. I killed Boris somewhere in there as it turns out he isn't nearly as scary when he can't cast spells. Mara decided to grace me with his presence on V:8 and I'm worried about completing it at my current strength level with him running around there. As such I've done about 25% of V:8 and left most of the loot (first section I went into had the rune - so never returning down there isn't a large deal if I don't need the exp/loot). I am continuing in the main dungeon branch for time time being.
I do have an armor question, as I have a rather nice artefact plate mail, but I also have 12 enchant armor scrolls, an ice dragon hide, and a fire dragon armor and I'm trying to figure out what my best armor choice is moving forward. I plan on eventually dropping Trog and picking up another god (probably TSO) for extended and getting spells. That point is somewhat irrelevant for the present moment as I need to live long enough to get there. So, what armor is best, an enchanted FDA/IDA or the current plate I'm wearing?
