My 20th win! I don't play this game much anymore, so this was nice. A thread about Elyvilon on the other forum sparked my interest in playing a healer. Pacifying most of the monsters in the swamp and snake pit was fun. Oddly, I didn't use his self-healing abilities much. I got the most use out of purification and divine vigor.

I think Elyvilon is a good choice, if you want to switch to TSO. It's easier to train invocations with Ely then Okawaru, and you don't have to worry about incurring divine retribution.

Yeah, I tried Healers for the first time after reading that other post. This makes me want to try them again.

Why did you choose Minotaur? IIRC they have pretty poor invocations.

I've played a couple of much-pacifying Healers. In 0.5 (I think), I won a heavy armour DDHe and got two runes with a stealthy, casting HaHe before stupidly trying to melee a hellion in late Dungeon (instead of running away).

The pacifying style is definitely viable for a three-runer, and I found it refreshingly different. It is also quite a leisure to "vanquish" enemies with simply pressing 'aa' repeatedly.. the monsters should of course be eligible for pacification. The Swamp bottom vault, for instance. In Zot, you can pacify dragons quite freely, and draconians and orb guardians if you need to.

Yeah, I myself won a heavy armor DDHe back in 0.5... was my first heavy armor win; to date, I still only have two, but that might be because I didn't play much Crawl before the big nerf. I attribute the win to the set of crystal plate mail I found on D:1 (no, really).
