Curious, is the triple sword usable long term? I know its a good base type, but only +1, the speed seems like a nice brand on triple swords though. Funny that the first time I go non M&F I find dwhip and eveningstar in lair.

I suspect +1 triple sword of speed is comparable to +9 triple sword of any other brand except vamipiric. You can use fsim to compare damage of different weapons.

Str +9 on a high damage weapon probably adds a non-negligibe damage boost as well.

Just one of those games.

Just rebranded another triple sword of protection to triple sword of chaos. Whats the consensus on chaos as an endgame brand? Too risky?
Dump with bunch of other weapons... nm for some reason it doesn't update the morgue file right away online.

I have:
+4 double sword pain
+1 triple sword chaos
+1 artifact triple (speed, str+9)
+8 greatsword slicing
+9 artifact greatsword (pain, rElec, rF- rC+ MP+9)
+4 artifact greatsword (venom, rF+)

So, the arifacts worth it or should I just build up the triple of chaos, or double of pain, and use donalds shield.

I have 15 Necromancy, and currently rF+, so the greatsowrd takes me to no fire resistance

I would use either the double sword of pain or the triple sword of chaos (it's fun and certainly good enough, just be ready to not die in case things go badly). You can fsim the speed triplesword, the accuracy worries me a bit.

In descending order of damage, assuming you don't train necromancy to something silly: +1 Str+9 triple sword of speed >>> +9 great sword of pain > +9 double sword of pain (but you might be ok with trading the damage for a shield) >>> +4 double sword of pain

I would wield the triple sword of speed for the rest of the game.

Had some pretty bad luck with mutations before I found rMut, afterwards I managed to clear the pan lords and get the runes pretty easily. Didn't find any Cure mutation in pan, or crypt, decided to try and get some hell runes and get necromutation online before tomb.

As soon as I got onto level 7 of Cocytus, my random telelport mutation took me right next to the boss. Kept trying to get a lucky teleport away. Managed to get half healed by using all my recharge scrolls and wand, and with some Mak killing. Wasn't enough though, just couldn't seem to get away safely. Probably should have called it a day with 10 runes and that mutation. Hindsight is 20/20.

I manages to get a +9 triple sword of freezing with all the brand and EW scrolls I couldn't use on the speed artifact, fsim said it was better than the speed, was going to switch it out after Cocytus. Felt like I did well overall until the end.

First few times I used shadow creatures it was great, lately it seems kinda underwhelming. Not sure if its just not as useful in Pan/hell as it is in zot.

Did find one holy pan floor. Was doing really well but took the portal as soon as I found it, didn't want to start thinking that I was too tough for holy wrath.

I found a +12 Ex Axe of speed with +9 str +4 int on a DsBe once. Still have the charater, I'm kinda afraid to play him for fear I'll mess it up lol. But yeah that tripple sword is pretty darm good.
