There were no monsters in sight!



After losing a few promising characters in extended I just wanted to get a win for confidence sake.
Not too many really close calls. Had a run in with Khufu and another greater mummy in the Crypt. Escaped them and finished them later pretty easily. Even lichs and ancient lichs weren't much problem.

Was pretty straightforward. Scroll of acquirement on D10 netted a flaming battle axe, upgraded to +9 and was working up one of freezing. Had it at +5 I think when I found a scroll and took a chance rebranding the first. Ended up with freezing. That an a plate mail of resist cold I found early in the dungeon were with me until the end.

A few notable moments were finding myself right next to Mara. Went down without any real fight and killing Mennas 3 times which I note at the end of the post.

Im pretty sure that I am learning and getting better. I used to think regeneration was bad because of the increased hunger. I kept the amulet on probably until Crypt when I found some rCorr and another amulet with rElec rN+ Ward and Sinv which let me upgrade rings. Went from one + for all my resists to rN++ and 3rC+++. Resisted the temptation to try for an executioners axe when I got another acquirement scroll and already had my +9 battle axe. Went for jewelry instead. It was crap. Still, ended up finding some better resists on the other side of that floor (Crypt 3).

Oh and I forgot to add that I think there is a bug. I could swear that I killed Grum twice and Norris twice. After that, while I was in V5, I know I killed Mennas 3 times.
I think it seems to happen when I get lagged down and I exit the game and refresh my browser and re-enter if anyone wants to try repeating it.
