[YASD]Nono the fiery Demonspawn mangled in Zot : 5
This one was a hell of a ride, and it's sooo nervebreaking to die in Zot 5.
DSCK are hard to start, you never know when Xom is going to strike you. I killed about 50 Nonos before this one took off, thanks to a +7 rod of summoning Xom gifted me. It allowed me to cruise through the early dungeon, the lair and the orcish mines.
Apart from that, Xom's never been nice to me : I didn't get any good mutation, or he took them at once, and decided to tp me just in the middle of the vault in Elven 5, which almost killed me. After crazy level drains ("Suffer !"), I decided to dump him for Nemelex, still random, but a bit less. Experience cards are wonderful, but I haven't been lucky with Helixes, looks like this guy didn't like mutations at all.
After scumming the Abyss for 10 000 turns before I could find the exit, I decided to finally dabble with Zot, because I had too shitty mutations to try Hell, Pan or Tomb and I got afraid of starving (berserkitis 2 with almost no food left, and no gourmand). I dived through the first four levels, killed a few golden dragons and ancient liches and just at the entrance of the Zot chamber, a bad berserk occured, leaving me slowed and with half hp against an orb guardian. My stacked deck of escape had a portal on top of it, I thought I might give it a try but I forgot Zot 5 was nasty with tps, and ended up killed before it worked.
Xom found it hilarious. I think that instead of killing me at once when I left him, he decided to wait til the very end to make me really angry. Next time I'll stick to him, you never know when he's gonna take his revenge.
The best part of the game was to kill the royal jelly by drowning her with a Water card. I don't think crawl gave me xp or credit for it, it's listed as "vanquished creature (others)". Is it a bug ?
