My first officially documented stupid death

I'm trying the new Web Tiles. It's very nice indeed and I've finally started playing online.
I was hoping to get at least one victory in the unofficial tournament, but sadly YASD was waiting for me.

Long story short:
- Dungeon explored to level 27.
- Lair, Hive, Snake's, Shoals, Orc, Elf clean.
- Vault nearly clean: I skipped level 2 because there was Mara and I didn't find Abjuration. The entry to level 8 was clean.
- Survived a trip to the Abyss at XL 17.
- Good set of mutations: low Int and mana but good resistances and other stats. I didn't care too much about low Int and mana because I had the artifact hat from Gastronok.
- Complete food unluck: no rings of sustenance nor amulet of gourmand. I've seen them in a Bazaar, but I was without money.

I was exploring Vault 8, but cleaning the stairs have been quite food-consuming. I had to quit the game for a while and when I came back I didn't remember that I was without permafood. When I realized it, I tried to run back to the Hive. I started to get unconscious and I met a group of skeleton warriors. I died with the stairs to the Hive just behind the corner ad a Blink scroll ready...

Deaths are more fun when they're documented, or at least reported. Griping can be entertaining and cathartic, sympathy is always nice, and advice can help prevent it from happening again.

I'm impressed you had the patience to play a webtiles game nearly to the end- the lag and interface problems put me off. You also had kind of bad luck with resists- not a pip or rF, rC, or rN from any equips. The mutations help though...

How'd you get paralyzed? I don't see anything on screen capable of it at your death.

Starvation will periodically paralyze you. Avoid.

Well, I used to switch weapon for resistances:

  Code:

c - the +1,+9 whip of Jiuniapp {slash, rF++}
 f - the +1,+3 sling of Faqed {speed, rN+ Int+3}
 i - the -4,-3 sabre of Honesty {slay orc, rC++ Int-2}
