YAVP: FoFi, 15 runes

Started with Gozag, then switched to Zin.
Formicids make Maxwell and Cekugob wonderful items to have. (I had both in this game. Preferred GDA to Maxwell, and Cekugob came too late to make a difference)
Shafting down to L7 in Hell branches saves you a lot of hassle.

Why? The main disadvantages of Maxwell are -Tele and -Cast, and neither of those matter as a spell-less Formicid.

Mainly because of the greater GDR of the dragon armour and I also needed the rPois at the time.

Mainly because of the greater GDR of the dragon armour and I also needed the rPois at the time.

The higher GDR of GDA doesn't make up for the fact that it's as heavy as lead and destroys your EV.
You also don't need rPois for very much of the game, unless you're out of curing or fighting stuff with poison arrow or whatever.

I spent 18 potions of curing on a trove, which only had a few useful scrolls and a wand of healing.

I think a wand of healing for 18 curing pots is a good deal.

Once you have MR+++ and poison resistance there's little need for curing pots. I tend to spam them to cure rot, if I managed to take a couple bad hits from a ghoul or something. A heal wounds wand is often a game changer in terms of surviving bad situations you shouldn't have placed yourself in to begin with. It doesn't make you much stronger, just better at not being dead, but it's still a powerful enough item that I'd call it game changing :)
