now YAVP: GrBe, let's not die in Vaults this time
But really, the reason I'm posting is 'what skill(s) do I focus on now?' It's a Zerker, so no choices are really bad; I'm just curious what I might be neglecting for mid -> late game survivability. My EV is terrible, but I keep hoping a ring will show up, and in the meantime other defense + regen have filled the void. I couple levels of dodging wouldn't be too expensive, though.
So far this has been a pretty smooth, easy to play combo. My first time (that I recall) playing Gr of Trog, and it's going very well. Up 2 runes; ridiculous AC, GDR, and SH; tearing through mobs with the rod of ignition (wish acquirement had given me something more useful than my fourth(!) wand of fireball); Jorgun down (he was caught in webs on Sp5 + 2 brothers + Hand + Zerk; I only panicked a little obviously). rF is a problem, but no rF ego heavy armour yet (no dragons dropped hides and all enchanted plate from orc is either MR or rC). I'll go grab a ring of Fire to swap with that's on the floor now. Still, I've got a handful of enchant armour scrolls on the Lair floor, and MR is nice for Elf/depths, and rC or CPM for Slime... so hard to commit.
If it's anything like my prior couple of characters at this stage. I will rip through everything until a Tengu Reaver somehow kills me on Vaults 5. Seriously, I consistently underestimate these guys and keep dying in Vaults. And bad play. That too.
Or I could just go to Slime instead. That rune will get me a treasure trove too, so bonus treasure, hooray!
Heck, maybe if I post the character, I won't feel compelled to YASD it.
