There are potions that are worse to waste than cure mutation (speed, resistance, possibly even heal wounds since it's more likely to save you in a critical situation that cure mut), especially now that monsters with wand of polymorph no longer mutate you. So, don't quaff-ID.

You're right, and normally I don't. Though I had all those ID'd and normally I don't expect that anything will kill me outright at XL17 I guess I won't EVER quaff ID now. It was such a good character too.
